BJ BEDFORD MILLER:

BJ Bedford was a member of the Gold medal winning 400 Medley Relay during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She has earned seven U.S. National titles in the 50, 100 and 200 meter backstrokes.

Prior to the 2000 Olympics, Bedford won the bronze medal in the 1994 FINA World Aquatic Championships, becoming the 11th fastest woman in history in the 100 meter backstroke. That same year, B.J. won two gold medals and a silver medal at the Goodwill Games. She also captured three gold medals for swimming in the women's 100 and 200 meter backstroke at the 1995 Pan American Games.

 

 

JONTY SKINNER:

Skinner began his coaching career in 1978 when appointed head coach of University of Alabama's swim team. After three years he moved to California and became the head coach of the San Jose Aquatics Club where under his guidance the club won five junior national championship team titles and in 1986 took the national championship team title at Phillips 66 Long Course Senior Nationals. He served as head coach until 1988.

From 1994 to 2000 Skinner served as USA Swimming's Resident Team Coach, which involved coaching some of the nation's top swimmers at the elite national and international level.

From 2000 to 2008 Skinner served as USA Swimming's Director of National Team Technical Support, which involves coordinating all of the testing, tracking and assessment of the National Team athletes.

 

BONNIE DIX - RESIDENT COACH:

Bonnie Dix, entering her 23nd season as the Head Swimming and Diving Coach at Wellesley College, has compiled a career record of 136-40 (.706) in dual meet competition. In the 2008-2009 season, Dix led the team to an 12th-straight Seven Sisters title, their 17th in the last 18 years.

During her tenure, she has produced 19 NCAA qualifiers, 10 All-Americans and two New England Champions. In addition, Dix’s Wellesley teams have posted three undefeated seasons: 1993-94, 1999-00 and 2000-01.

 

CHRIS CARD - RESIDENT ASSISTANT COACH:

Chris Card is in his second year as the Assistant Coach at Wellesley College.
During the 2008-2009 season Chris helped the team win their 12th consecutive Seven Sisters Championship and founded Wellesley Masters Swimming which trains adult swimming enthusiasts within the Wellesley area.

Prior to working at Wellesley, Chris earned his BS in Finance at the University of Maine and was a member of the University of Maine Swim Team.
